Unit
This drive unit enables a minimal amount of wiring to be present
in your model, whilst at the same, offering you a high quality and
powerful motor.
The drive motor is a bell-formed commutated motor fitted with ball
bearings.
By means of a steel/carbon cog combination, this forces a gear
ratio of i = 4,166 across the output shaft (also fitted with ball
bearings).
With a diameter of 1/5 in, this offers you good connectivity opportunities
for propeller shafts, drive belts etc.
The gearing electronics are contained with the housing, and provides
extremely fine control (8KHz, 8bit PWM) in 'forward/Stop/Reverse'
operation.
The Drive Unit is constructed to be combined with a rechargeable
battery and radio-receiver, making it ready for us upon receipt
