Genoa Sail Winch

New to the product range from Schepp Modellbau is this completely overhauled version of the "Genoa Sail Winch", which at last provides you with the opportunity of performing a seamless and graceful tacking manoeover with your scale-model in just the same way the original yachts perform theirs. You can even perform a 'heave to' without a second thought! It goes without saying that you'll be able to control both a Gennaker or a Blister.

Equipped with 2 conical drums, a kind of gearbox function is provided, creating the situation of increasing strength with an ever reducing diameter. A winding capacity of 71 in is thereby reached for each of the two units.

The winch is driven by a bell-formed commutated motor, using drive belts to a wormscrew gearbox made out of bronze and hardened steel, controlled by an electromagnetic clutch on the winch drums.

A comprehensive set of ball bearings goes without saying! The integrated electronics guards against all manners of potential hazards and stress which could harm the mechanics. A limitless variable speed control allows for smooth setting of the sails - to the millimetre! Thanks to the self-restraining wormscrew gearbox, the drive unit does not work against the strength of the bulkhead.

Automatic Reeling Device

This is a specially designed single-channeled winch drum, which always keeps the reeling cable correctly wound into position through by using a built-in coilspring. Because of this there is no longer the need for a double winch drum with the respectively necessary "loop control cable self-tensioning device"!
